Central Health has worked with the Greater Derby Primary Care Network to launch a new First Contact Physiotherapy (FCP) service, the second FCP service Central Health has helped set up in the city over the last 2 months.
The Greater Derby Primary Care Network consists of 11 GP Practices and serves more than 90,000 residents in its area.
The First Contact Physiotherapists Central Health has put in place to lead the new service will act as the first point of contact for patients experiencing musculoskeletal problems, and will be available to assess, diagnose and recommend appropriate treatments or referrals for patients, without the need for them to see a GP in the first instance.
The new Greater Derby Primary Care Network FCP service comes shortly after Central Health helped launch a FCP service for the Derby City North Primary Care Network.
