Health Surveillance

Despite Covid-19 restrictions, Central Occupational Health continues to provide vital Health Surveillance services to businesses.

Health Surveillance is a system of ongoing health checks designed to protect the health, safety and welfare of employees.

These health checks allow for early detection of ill health in the workplace, and help to identify any corrective action required.

At this time, Central Occupational Health is able to deliver Health Surveillance services remotely, using online questionnaires and video call consultations.

Should any in-person follow up be needed, our specially trained practitioners can visit the workplace, meet with individual employees and conduct health tests in a Covid Secure manner.

Please watch the following short video for full details:

Health surveillance may be required by law if your employees are exposed to certain hazards.

Monitoring the health of employees may also be required in non-hazardous environments, including where people are working from home.

Health Surveillance therefore also helps to comply with the legal requirements of a business.

If you are unsure of your Health Surveillance requirements, please contact us for advice and help with any necessary risk assessments.

The Covid-19 crisis may make it hard for employers to focus on all but the obvious health risks to employees.

However, Central Occupational Health is here to manage Health Surveillance and maintain good health in the workplace.
