On October 21st 2023, Kevin, MD at Central Health Network, competed in Hyrox at NEC Birmingham. Hyrox is the world’s largest indoor fitness competition and is the ultimate challenge of strength, endurance and determination.
The Hyrox race starts with a 1 km run, followed by 1 functional movement such as SkiErg, Sled Push, Sled Pull, Burpee Broad Jumps, Rowing, Farmers Carry, Sandbag Lunges, and Wall Balls. This then repeats 8 times.
Kevin completed the Hyrox challenge with an incredible time of 01:15:42, coming first in his age group (55-59) and 204th overall out of 1,178 competitors. This also means he beat his previous Hyrox London record of 01:16:44, proving that with the right training and resilience, you can boost your health and smash your fitness goals, whatever your age.
