Central Health was the very proud headline sponsor of Ramathon 2015, and wow what a day it was!
On Sunday 7th June 2015, 3600 runners took to the streets of Derby, which were lined with thousands of cheering spectators, to take on the 13.1 mile course and we’re so pleased to have played our part in it.
We signed our sponsorship agreement back in November 2014, and then worked hard to support the Race Organisers in the tremendous work they do to make everything happen, and for which they should take great credit. During those months it was our pleasure to be part of the build up to race day and to meet so many new friends along the way.
We enjoyed every aspect of Ramathon 2015, including being at those cold winter morning training runs from the iPro to provide Sports Massage, hosting a special Race Ready event where we were joined at Central Health HQ by several elite athletes and national coaches, and even those fantastic administration operations which were the Race Number Collection days!
However, race day itself exceeded all our expectations. The race was a fantastic spectacle, with the 3600 runners stretching back from the start line making for a most amazing sight. When things got started, every single one of the runners was a winner to us. Taking part and completing the race is something to be very proud of, and we were so pleased to hear of the many personal bests achieved on the day. As the runners completed the Ramathon, Central Health was of course on hand to provide post-race recovery Sports Massage, and we were delighted that so many benefited from the efforts of the huge team we deployed to help runners at the finish line.

As headline sponsor, we did of course want to highlight the expertise and services we provide at our Physiotherapy, Podiatry and Osteopathy clinics in Derby and throughout the East Midlands, and we trust we did this respectively so not to take away from the race itself – and we hope our sponsorship and support of Ramathon leaves everyone feeling that you can trust Central Health and that when you need us, we’ll always be there for you.
